Hi welcome back. I decided to write a mini blog post about my visit to Sac Yard Community Tap House. My friend Justin (I have more than one friend named Justin by the way) contacted me to see if I wanted to go. I had heard about this place and heard a lot of good things about it so I was really excited to go.
They have 24 taps. They keep a rotating selection of the best independent craft beers.
They also offer a great wine selection.
When I walked up I noticed right away that they had corn hole fire pit communal see you being and most importantly they had misters to keep people cool. It is very hot in Sacramento so I think that was a nice touch and they also have umbrellas to give you shade.
Upon entering I noticed that they have communal seating as well and it’s very spacious.
I tried two beers during my visit.
Fieldwork- Cloud Control (Hazy IPA) 7.5% ABV. Flavor is juicy and tropical. Good Hazy IPA, aromatic.
Calicraft – Rose’ Ale 6.5% ABV. This has a sparkling wine taste, dry and beautiful deep pink color. Raspberry flavor.
There was a food truck there. Che Buono which serves Italian food. We had a Caprese salad and rice balls with meat. So good. The rice balls with meat are nice and warm and they give you marinara sauce to dip them in.
It was pretty packed while we were there and it was nice and cool inside. I ended up getting hungry again and they had sandwich options available from Corti Brothers.
I really liked this place a lot. It is a place that can definitely accommodate a big group and you can be comfortable and cool. The beertenders are really nice and let you try beer and give you suggestions.
