Today I am writing from my couch. The weather today in Sacramento is pretty gloomy. I have been really busy with training for my new position at work, school and trying to get some photoshoot dates figured out. I have not been feeling too good this week. I don’t know if it is the weather or what. But I cannot leave my readers hanging. I thought to myself this morning, why not write about some new products I have been using.
The first product is PÜR 4-in-1 Liquid Foundation.
I will be honest. I struggle finding good foundations. I was using Urban Decay Foundation in 5.5 and then I noticed that I looked orange. I also noticed the contrast on my neck. I noticed it more when I didn’t use powder. So I was not happy with that. I already have a lot of red undertones in my skin so I don’t want orange. I went to Ulta and this very nice guy, (I am kind of mad at myself for not asking him what his name was) and he asked me what I was looking for. I told him I needed something with a lot of coverage and something that would help with my oily skin. He matched me and my color in this foundation is Golden Medium. I really like this foundation because you can build the coverage. It is a thicker formula but it does not feel thick on my skin or “cakey”. A little goes a long way with this product. One pump is enough. I like that it helps protect skin from the sun with SPF 15. This foundation is Vegan friendly. I apply it with a beauty blender. I paid $36.00 for this foundation. It is a pretty good size the bottle is 1FL OZ/ 30ML. I would definitely recommend it.
My second product is the Urban Decay DE-SLICK Mattifying Powder.
I picked this up at my local Ulta. I love the packaging. It is just a white pressed powder and it comes with a little sponge/puff. I like this because it really helps keeps the shine under control without messing up my makeup. It is made of rice powder and infused with tea tree oil. I personally like to use this to set my concealer. I wish Urban Decay would make this as a loose powder so I can “bake” my face with it. Overall I love this stuff and I take this with me when I go out for touch ups. This product is Vegan. This compact costs $32.00.
The third product is REVOLUTION Vivid Baked Highlighter, in the color Radiant Lights.
Now this product I did not expect to come across. So the day I purchased the PÜR foundation I was looking for a highlighter. I did not feel like spending too much money so I went to the drug store brand side of Ulta and just wandered around and I found this beauty. I am in love with this highlighter. I have had people stop and ask me what highlighter I am using. I was using the highlight in Tarte’s Park Ave Princess Palette and have always used that until I hit the pan. But this highlighter is great and I want to get the other two colors. The price point is amazing, $6.00, yes it is six bucks!! I use it everyday and it is sheer but if I want more I moisten the brush for a more dramatic look. Great unique highlight. I say go try this highlighter you will love it!!
My fourth and final product is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Soft Brown. This triangular brow pencil is awesome. I love how it glides on. The brush is great. The triangular shape makes it easy to fill my brows in one step. The only problem is that my pencil broke. I don’t know if I pressed to hard or what but I put it back in and it still works but I have to be careful when I open it or else the pencil flies out. I will buy this product again for sure and maybe be more careful with the retractable pencil. This product cost $23.00.
So I hope you enjoyed my product reviews from the couch today. Yes I was watching Law & Order. I am probably going to be in my pajamas most of the day.
Below is the link to the product websites and I will link Ulta as well since it has been my one stop shop lately.
